Our Faculty

The testimonies of our faculty at The Epiphany School of Global Studies speak volumes about our environment and workplace. Not only is the school a richly supportive environment for students — but the faculty feels the same way. When surveyed, each faculty member mentioned reasons why he or she enjoyed working at Epiphany. Some appreciate the commandment to Love God and Your Neighbor as Yourself, while others appreciate the creative freedom of not having to teach to a test. Many mentioned the support of colleagues and staff members or the joy of teaching students who are willing to learn. All believe in the rigorous academic program, and many consider the depth and breadth of the global studies program one of the school’s greatest strengths.

The leadership at the school champions our faculty’s individual approaches to teaching and mentoring. We encourage our teachers to develop their own educational styles as they strive for excellence, and support their efforts in professional development. But most of all, we embrace their successes as the school lives out its Guiding Principles and Missions.

The Epiphany School of Global Studies provides a unique opportunity for teachers to learn, grow, and thrive alongside students. Our supportive staff, creative freedoms, and engaged students make The Epiphany School of Global Studies the ideal environment for anyone who loves children and who loves to learn. We are proud of our diverse faculty members’ skills and abilities.

At The Epiphany School of Global Studies 60% of our current faculty members have advanced degrees, many of which were earned at prestigious universities such as The University of Virginia, Davidson College, The University of Pennsylvania, Bates College and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Many have also earned degrees abroad, at universities in Spain, Colombia, Australia, England, and Ireland. 30% our faculty members have lived and worked abroad for months or years at a time, and the vast majority have traveled abroad to countries around the world.

In Their Words

"The Epiphany program is academically strong and value rich. We have a curriculum to follow, yet also have the ability to utilize a wide variety of our own resources to make learning unique and extraordinary. As a teacher, I feel I have a job that stimulates and inspires me to reach higher goals. There is a lot of room for creativity, and I find a wonderful sense of personal satisfaction in that."
